Based on NXP’s MCUs and power management components and the contact-based Power by Contact^© (PbC^©) charging technology developed by the French Tech vendor company Energysquare, this partnership aims to propose the first PbC^© development kit for device manufacturers.
Following a growing demand for charging cablelessly devices requiring more than 15W in different segments, it appeared important for both companies to work together and provide this development kit allowing device manufacturers to respond to market demands with a cost-effective and power transfer efficient solution. Power transfer efficiency is not a trend but an obligation in this energy crisis period, and a guarantee to respect the energy value-chain up to the corporations and the end-users.
The development kit announced today will be available early Q1 2023 and will allow on-going and future projects to be supported by the expertise of NXP and its components.
