ENERGYSQUARE NAMED AS CES 2019 BEST OF INNOVATION AWARDS HONOREE

Paris, France, November 8, 2018

Energysquare today announced that it has been named a CES® 2019 Best of Innovation Awards Honoree for its universal wireless charger for laptops. The announcement was made during CES Unveiled New York, an invite-only tech event bringing together top media, exhibitors and industry leaders for a sneak peek of the products and trends expected at CES 2019, which will run January 8-11, 2019 in Las Vegas, NV.

Wireless laptop charger Best of Innovation award

An annual program that celebrates outstanding design, the CES Innovation Awards recognizes honorees across 28 product categories. An elite panel of judges, including designers, engineers and members of the tech media, reviews submissions based on design, functionality, consumer appeal, engineering and how the products compare with competition. Those products recognized as the Best of Innovation honorees received the highest ratings in their respective product categories.

Energysquare developed a universal wireless charger for laptops, based on its “Power by Contact” patented conductive charging technology. Fast, powerful, with no electromagnetic waves, the purpose is to keep laptops always charged avoiding the inconveniences of conventional wired charging. This product allows furniture to become ergonomic and high performant for the collaborators in the workplace.

Energysquare’s “Power by Contact” wireless charging technology is the first of its kind: it allows several devices to be charged simultaneously, at full speed, high power, and can be integrated easily in any device, whatever its shape or materials are used.

Whereas in the past years, all new wireless charging technologies are based on induction or magnetic resonance. These technologies have several limitations for device users and manufacturers: charging only on a specified point, low charging speed, important energy loss, electromagnetic wave emission and interference, low compatibility, limited power and are costly to integrate.

“We are delighted to receive this Best of Innovation Award for our universal wireless charger for laptops. This award is a sign of confidence from the tech ecosystem towards our innovation and technology. It also demonstrates the strong potential of future-oriented solutions in the high-power wireless charging market and demonstrates the value of combining strong innovation with a solid patent portfolio. We are convinced that, at the dawn of the 21st century, the emergence of new charging applications could revolutionize the way we communicate with the electronic devices that everyone uses daily at work or at home. In 2019, we plan to accelerate the development of some of these applications while launching into new international markets, where we could forge other strategic alliances.”
